Do you know what, it's Teaser Tuesday! And it's no longer November, so I'm actually reading something for fun to tease. It's even seasonal!
Let It Snow is a collection of three interconnected novellas, all set on Christmas Eve and centred around a crashed train and a Waffle House: one by Maureen Johnson, one by John Green, and one by Lauren Myracle. And so far it is fabulous: sweet, funny, warm, and romantic. And did I mention funny? I'm sitting here on the couch giggling like a lunatic. But you may judge for yourself. I am including more than two sentences. More than three sentences, in fact. I am including a bunch, because they are very short.
From "The Jubilee Express" (Maureen Johnson) in
Let It Snow, p22:
She was a sharp one, this Amber. What would she notice next? The train? The moon? The hilarious vagaries of human existence? Her own head?
I didn't say any of that, because death by cheerleader is not really the way I want to go.
Teaser Tuesdays are hosted by
Should Be Reading. It works as follows:
- Grab your current read.
- Open to a random page.
- Share two teaser sentences from somewhere on that page.
- Be careful not to include spoilers!
- Include the title and author.

Death by cheerleader, the thought of it made me laugh. Great teaser. Mine is up at Calico Contemplations.
Haha this book sounds great. Nice teaser. Here's mine!
So far I only know Maureen Johnson through her hilarious tweets, but I feel like I need to read her 'real' writing now, too. She's obviously got a hilarious voice. Great teaser!
If you'd like, you can check out mine here.
Thank you everyone for stopping by.
I finished this book yesterday so I could get it back on library shelves to recommend it -- and then my co-worker snagged it and took it for her daughters before I even got it out of the office! Review will be forthcoming, but suffice to say it is definitely a great, light holiday choice.
Thanks for the recommendation. I've added it to my GoodReads queue.
sprite - Check back in a couple of days (a week at the most, I hope) because I'm working on a full review of this one. Definitely a good one to add to the list, though!
